Bulls Fall to Eastern Michigan in Conference Series Finale, 4-1

OLEAN, NY - The University at Buffalo baseball team fell to Eastern Michigan, 4-1, to drop their conference home opening series on Sunday afternoon at Fred Handler Park on the campus of St. Bonaventure.
Following a scoreless first inning, the Bulls put the first run of the contest on the board in the bottom of the second. Reaching base off a single to right field, senior Adam Skonieczki stole a pair of bases, including home, to give the Bulls a 1-0 lead.
The Eagles erased the Bulls' lead in the top of the seventh with four runs off four hits, including an RBI double and RBI triple.
In 2.2 innings of relief work, senior Brian Pullyblank struck out six batters, allowing only one hit. Starter Josh Edwards (0-2) recorded the Bulls' loss in 6.1 innings, striking out four batters.
The Bulls will return to Fred Handler Park on Tuesday, March 30 to face St. Bonaventure in a mid-week matchup with the first pitch set for 2:00 pm.
