Cahill, 6-3, 245, played the past two seasons at Scottsdale Community College and committed to Buffalo during the junior college signing period. He helped the Fighting Artichokes to a 6-4 record this past season by recording 30 tackles, including nine tackles for loss and four sacks in eight games.
"We had a need for a mid-year transfer on the defensive line," said Quinn. "Wyatt is a solid addition to our team. He will have a chance to come in and compete right away."
As a prep player, Cahill played at Corona del Sol High School where he was a two-year captain and twice an All-City and All-Region selection. He displayed his athleticism by also competing in the triple jump on the Aztecs track and field team. Under head coach Gary Venturo, he helped his team to a 9-3 record as a senior.
The son of Dwight and Rebecca Cahill, his uncle, David Cahill played in the NFL after his career at Northern Arizona. Wyatt chose UB for the opportunity to compete for a Mid-American Conference championship and because of the school's business program.
