BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo football team will host Miami (OH) on Saturday looking to level its record at 2-2 in Mid-American Conference play.
The Bulls are looking to rebound from a disappointing loss to Temple last Saturday. Head Coach Jeff Quinn is confident that his team will be ready for the RedHawks.
"This is a good team that just hasn't played very good football over the last couple weeks," Quinn said. "We need to get back to playing football. It's as simple as that. There is no better opportunity that this week against Miami at home."
Miami is 4-4 overall and 3-1 in MAC play. The RedHawks are led by quarterback Zac Dysert. The sophomore signal caller has thrown for 1,954 yards and 10 touchdowns this season.
He will be facing a UB defense that ranks first in the MAC against the pass. Led by senior Domonic Cook, the Bulls are allowing a league-low 183.7 yards per game passing. Cook has four interceptions and a fumble recovery over the last four games. His streak of four straight games with a captured turnover is tied for the second longest in the nation.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 3:30 pm on Saturday at UB Stadium. The game will be televised locally on Time Warner Cable SportsNet as well as nationally on ESPN GamePlan. The game can be heard on 1230 AM WECK in Buffalo and 1280 AM WHTK and 107.3 FM in Rochester.
Saturday is Kids Day, featuring special contests and entertainment for UB's youngest fans.
The first 1,500 kids receive special UB Football Bulls Bands! Show your Bulls pride by wearing these UB Football silly bracelets on game day or trade them with your friends. The six-piece collector's set includes a helmet, U, B, football, goal post, and buffalo.
Plus, bring your camera to take a photo of the kids with SpongeBob SquarePants from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at the West Concourse Kidzone area.
