Roosevelt Named MAC Offensive Player of the Week

BUFFALO, NY – Naaman Roosevelt was named Mid-American Conference East Division Offensive Player of Week on Monday for his record-setting performance against Ohio last Tuesday night.
The senior wide receiver saved one of the best games of his career for his final game at UB Stadium. Roosevelt had eight catches for 165 yards and three touchdowns. His first touchdown was a 76-yard strike from Jerry Davis. It was the longest catch of his career. He added a 21 and a 22-yard touchdown reception from Zach Maynard.
He set the school record for career receiving yards with 3,551 - surpassing Drew Haddad's record of 3,409. He also holds the school record for receptions (268) and receiving touchdowns (28).
For the season, the team captain has 70 catches for 954 yards and nine touchdowns - all team highs.
It marks the third time in his career that Roosevelt has won the award.
Roosevelt is the third UB player this season to earn Player of the Week honors as Maynard was named Offensive Player of the Week after his performance against Pittsburgh in week two and Mike Newton won defensive kudos following the Bulls' win over Akron.
