- One would be hard-pressed to find a more loyal fan of UB Football than one of its former managers, attorney Ronald Balter.
- Ron has donated generously to the athletic program and also frequently assists the UB Football equipment staff in setting up the locker room at both home and road games.
- A major supporter of the annual UB Golf Classic in the Buffalo area, he coordinated a similar outing that had been staged for several years in metro New York.
- For several years, he has been a loyal member of the New York City alumni chapter board and has been energetic in recruiting alumni there to contribute on behalf of the athletic program.
- Balter is a long-time member of the Blue & White Club board as well.
