Was associated with UB for some 25 years as a student-athlete, coach, and administrator; from 1996-2003 was responsible for the daily management of all teams and represented the university on all issues regarding women's athletics.
Nanette played volleyball as a freshman and sophomore and basketball for 3 seasons, captaining the 1976-1977 team.
Nanette returned to UB in 1983 to coach the softball program and 2 years later, guided her team to a 19-9 record; the SUNYAC Championship and a spot in the NCAA Division III regionals.
That same year, UB was ranked as high as 12th in the country and Nan was named conference coach of the year.
Also, Nanette coached basketball for 5 seasons, including the 1st 2 seasons in Division II when her teams advanced into post-season play.
The UB Softball team plays on the field named in her honor in recognition of a bequest she made to the athletics department.
