Pia Schwarz Named MAC Singles Player Of The Week

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo women's tennis junior Pia Schwarz has been named the MAC Singles Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Wednesday. The award is for the week ending on April 4.
Schwarz won her lone match of the week at first singles as she defeated Emma Peeler of Ball State in three sets. Schwarz won her first set 6-3 before falling in the second in a tiebreaker. She then won her third set 10-7.
Schwarz is 5-3 at first singles on the season and had won three straight matches prior to yesterday's contest.
Schwarz and the Bulls hit the road for the weekend beginning on Friday at Miami (OH).
