Bulls Ranked 9th in Final NWCA Mid-Major Poll

BUFFALO, NY – The National Wrestling Coaches Association released its final Mid-Major Top 20 of the season on Wednesday and Buffalo is ranked ninth. Formulated in 2017, the Mid-Major Top 20 concentrates on the programs that fall outside of the traditional "Power 5" conferences.

The Bulls finished the dual season 12-5 and are the highest ranked MAC team in the poll. Old Dominion (11th) and Ohio (19th), whom the Bulls defeated, are the other two Mid-American Conference programs ranked in the poll. Please note, fellow MAC member Missouri is not considered a mid-major program.

The Bulls have two wrestlers in the national rankings. Bryan Lantry is ranked 15th at 141 lbs. and Jake Gunning is ranked 15th at heavyweight.

Buffalo will next compete in the MAC Championships beginning on Friday at Old Dominion University.
