2017-18: Started seven duals at 149 lbs. before dropping down to 141 lbs. for his final 12 matches… went 9-10 overall, 8-7 in duals and 2-4 in MAC duals… led the Bulls with 29 takedowns… had 14 escapes… won three of his final four duals of the regular season…. pinned Old Dominion’s Alex Madrigal to advance to day two of the MAC Championships.
2016-17: Went 11-10 overall and 8-6 in duals at 141 lbs. Posted a 2-5 record in MAC duals… named the MAC Wrestler of the Week on Jan. 11 after pinning Columbia’s Jacob Macalolooy in 1:08 and Sacred Heart’s Adrian Nelson in 1:40 in consecutive matches… went 1-3 at the MAC Championships… had 18 takedowns and 11 escapes on the season.
2015-16: Started the season 1-2 with a fall before an injury sidelined him for the remainder of the season… also had three takedowns and a two-point and four-point near fall in his three matches.
2014-15: Took to the mat for the first time for the Bulls and was an instant contributor... finished his redshirt freshman campaign with a 12-8 overall record including a 7-5 dual meet mark and a 2-2 MAC dual mark... finished fourth on the team with 18 takedowns and a pair of tow-point near falls... ranked second on the team with two reversals... closed out the season with an impressive 8-3 decision victory over Austin Culton of Northern Illinois (2/20) at 149-pounds.
High School: Estevez had an outstanding high school career at Livingston as he amassed over 140 career wins while being a four-time New Jersey State qualifier and a two-time New Jersey State place winner, finishing third in 2012 and 2013. As a senior, he entered the State Tournament with a 40-1 overall record while earning the second seed. Estevez recorded his second-straight third place finish at the State Tournament. He also became just the ninth wrestler in Essex County history to win four county wrestling titles.
