BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo track & field program is excited to announce the signing of a long distance specialist from Middletown High School who will be joining the Bulls in 2019. Dana Lynch, a Middletown, New York native, has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend the University at Buffalo, track & field head coach and program director Vicki Mitchell announced Saturday morning.
Lynch, who will also be competing for the universities cross country program, has an impressive list of accomplishments, including a top-10 finish at the New York State Cross Country Federation Championships, a second place finish at the 2018 New Balance Indoor National 3000m event, and boasts personal best marks of 9:55.89 in the 3000m and 4:38.46 in the 1500m.
"Dana's desire for excellence and pushing her limits creates an unlimited ceiling for her potential," stated Mitchell. "She will add strength and depth to the Bulls distance squad."
Lynch plans to major in Psychology while at the University at Buffalo.
