BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo track and field program had four individuals selected for the NCAA East Preliminary Round, which will begin on Thursday at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL.
Fresh of his Mid-American Conference title in the shot put, Ryan Cribbin will enter the event seeded 13th with a top throw of 18.82m. Cribbin will be fighting to finish in the Top 12 and secure a trip to the NCAA Championships in Oregon. Also competing on the men's side is senior Craig Howard, who qualified in the pole vault. Howard enters the meet seeded 39th.
Two women also qualified for the East Preliminary Rounds, as senior Malayah White qualified in the 100m and is seeded 40th, while in the field, junior Megan Patterson qualified in the shot put with a throw of 15.09m and she is seeded 43rd.
Howard will be the first to compete as the men's pole vault begins at 4:30 pm on Thursday May 26. White will compete in the first round of the 100m race at 6:30 pm on Thursday. Both the men's and women's shot put competitions will take place on Saturday with the women going at 3:30 pm and the men at 6:00 pm.
