Relay Teams Smash Three Records at Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE, FL - Buffalo men's and women's track and field teams broke three school records on Day 3 of the Florida Relays. All three new records came in relay events on Saturday.

The first record broken was in the women's distance medley relay. Melinda Wheeler, Kyla Kenyon, Corinne Birchard, and Amy Shaw ran the event in 11:45.27 to finish first. UB's previous school record in the women's DMR was 11:49.88. 

It was great race for both 4x200 relay teams as they each set new school records. Malayah White set a school record in her third event of the year (indoor and outdoor seasons) alongside Long, Asher Beasley, and Tyra Forbes in the 4x200 relay. Their time of 1:37.46 is almost a second faster than the previous women's 4x200 relay school record.

Joshua Gali, Craig Howard, Darien Johnson, and Mitchell Moore Broke the men's 4x200 relay school record by .01 seconds with a time of 1:25.43.

Ryan Cribbin finished fifth in the men's college invite shot put with a throw of 18.19m (59' 8.25"). Laurent Dure jumped a season-best mark of 2.01m (6' 7") to finished t-13th.
