Bulls Wrap Up Penn Relays Competing in Five Events


PHILADELPHIA, PA – The University at Buffalo, State University of New York men's outdoor track & field team competed in five events Saturday to conclude competition at the 2015 Penn Relays at Franklin Field.

Ryan Billian raced in the finals of two events Saturday. He clocked a Mid-American Conference automatic qualifier with a 10.53 finish in the 100-meter dash to place fifth. Billian also teamed with Darien Johnson, Joshua Gali and Mitchell Fuller to clock a 41.02 finish in the 4x100 relay.

Austin Price hit the MAC AQ in the triple jump. He placed 12th out of 36 competitors with a mark of 14.59 meters.

UB ran in another pair of relays. It's 4x800 relay team of Derek Palafox, Timothy Whelan, Justin Van Epps and Cory McCarty was 21st with a 7:51.14 finish, while the 4xMile squad of Tyler Scheving, Brian Crimmins, Cameron Bruce and Tom Meehan crossed the finish line 13th in 17:14.13.

The Bulls will next compete Sunday at the Cornell Big Red Invitational.
