UB T&F Tallies Four First-Place Finishes Sunday at Bucknell

LEWISBURG, PA – The University at Buffalo, State University of New York men's and women's outdoor track & field teams concluded weekend competition Sunday at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic. The Bulls recorded four first-place finishes, seven Mid-American Conference automatic qualifiers and 29 top-10 finishes on the day.

The Bulls' 4x100-meter relay of Darien Johnson, Jalen Law, Brian Cummiskey and Ryan Billian teamed together to place first with a time of 41.22. Billian also won the 100 dash in a MAC-qualifying 10.62. Law followed in seventh in 11.15. The duo also dominated the 200 with Billian racing to a 21.34 MAC-qualifying runner-up finish and Law a fourth-place time of 21.87.

Kelly Truppo cleared 3.87 meters to win the pole vault and meet the conference qualifier. Taylor Bates placed ninth at a height of 3.57 meters.

Camaria Long clocked a winning 100 dash time of 12.07, the first of three UB top-10 finishes in the event. Tyra Forbes ran fourth in 12.24 and Malayah White finished sixth in 12.30. Forbes also placed ninth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.41 meters, while White finished ninth in the 200 in 25.12.

White, Long, Kailyn Arcury and Forbes teamed together to place third in the 4x100 relay with a 46.73 finish. The Bulls' 4x400 relay, comprised of Kyla Kenyon, Brianna Colello, Regine Lazard and Asher Beasely, finished fifth in 3:58.04. Lazard also finished seventh in the 400 hurdles in 1:01.99.

Christine Lyttle was third in the 100 hurdles in a MAC-qualifying 14.20. Just one hundredth of a second shy of the conference qualifier, Arcury placed fourth in 14.21 and Sabrina Bush placed eighth in 14.79.

Austin Price hit 15.16 meters to place third in the triple jump and hit the league mark, while two Bulls met the MAC qualifier in the shot put. Jonathan Jones threw 18.52 meters in the event to place second and Devon Patterson had a 17.21-meter heave to earn bronze.

McKenzie Kuehlewind finished fifth in the shot put and Joanna Hallisy sixth with marks of 13.23 and 12.99 meters, respectively. Bailey Kemp ran eighth in the 3,000 with a time of 10:33.10.

The men's 4x400 relay of Brian Crimmins, Tyler Scheving, Joshua Gali and Mitchell Moore placed second in 3:15.01. Jake Wray ran third in the 110 high hurdles in 14.86, Gali was fifth in the 400 dash in 48.40, Moore was eighth in the 400 hurdles with a 54.90 finish and Daniel Normoyle cleared 4.65 meters to place 10th in the vault.

The Bulls will compete at a trio of meets next weekend including the Mt. SAC Combined Events on Thursday and Friday, at the Princeton Perry Ellis Invitational on Friday and Saturday and at the Cornell Upstate Challenge on Saturday.
