NEW ORLEANS, LA – The University at Buffalo, State University of New York men's indoor track & field team ranks second in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Northeast Region week two poll. It is a three-spot improvement from the week one rankings. The Bulls, who sit second only to Cornell, have a score of 195.77, more than 25 points ahead of third-ranked Harvard.
UB competed Friday and Saturday at the PSU National Meet and the SPIRE Midwest Open. The men's team met three MAC qualifiers Saturday. Joshua Gali did so in the 400-meter dash with a runner-up time of 48.38. Brian Cummiskey and Jalen Law ran third and fourth, respectively, in the 200 with MAC-qualifying times of 21.57 and 21.65. Jake Wray was one hundredth of a second shy of the MAC AQ in the 60 hurdles. He placed third in 8.20.
The Bulls will return to action on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 6-7 at the Sykes & Sabock Challenge Cup at Penn State.
