GENEVA, OH – The University at Buffalo, State University of New York men's and women's indoor track & field teams competed Friday at the PSU national meet and the SPIRE Midwest Open.
The Bulls competed in a handful of events at Penn State, highlighted by a third-place finish of 10:04.69 in the DMR. The relay was composed of Cameron Bruce, Timothy Whelan, Tyler Scheving and Zach Ahart. Barrett Kemp clocked a 5th-place finish of 14:59.29 in the 5,000-meter run and Austin Ashby jumped 6.96 meters to place ninth in the long jump.
At the SPIRE Midwest Open the Bulls competed in a trio of events. The men's DMR of Derek Palafox, Cory McCarty, Brian Crimmins and Austin Coneys raced to a 10:22.28 finish to earn bronze. The women's team of Caroline Brown, Asher Beasely, Natalie Muller and Bailey Kemp placed fourth in the event, crossing the finish line in 12:19.01. Meaghan Wessel placed ninth in the 5K with an 18:31.28 finish.
The teams will conclude competition at both meets on Saturday.
