2013-14: During his junior season, Killian raced in two individual events indoors and two outdoors...he clocked season-best indoor times of 52.53 in the 400 dash and 2:02.82 in the 800 run...outdoors he recorded a 2:00.86 800 finish and a time of 54.94 in the 400 hurdles to win the New York Upstate Challenge.
2012-13: Ran the anchor leg for the 4x800m relay team that recorded the best time of the year at the Cornell Upstate Challenge in 8:31.79...recorded his best indoor time in the 400m dash at the Marc Denault Invite with a time of 53.24...was the anchor for the 4x400m relay team that finished in 3:25.02 at the Rochester Invitational...recorded his career-best 400m hurdles time of 55.88 at the Penn State Jim Thorpe Open.
Previous College: Attended Ithaca College. Placed seventh in the 400m hurdles at the 2012 New York State Collegiate Track Conference Outdoor Championships. Helped the Bombers to the team title at the NYSCTC indoor meet.
High School: Earned six letters and captained one season at Grand Island High School for coach Don Sauer. Won first-team All-Niagara Frontier League honors claiming the 400m hurdles in 2010 and 2011. Won Section VI 400m hurdles title in 2011 and participated at the state meet. Also a member of the Vikings cross country team, earning All-NFL honorable mention.
Personal: Born February 15, 1993. Son of Peter and Elizabeth Killian. Has two sisters (Marah, Leah). Favorite movies are Step Brothers and Blades of Glory. Enjoys Western New York food delicacies fish fry and chicken wings. Lists running at the Penn Relays on the same day as Usain Bolt as his greatest athletic experience. Majoring in sociology.
