2013-14: A pole vaulter, Hume competed in six indoor and six outdoor meets as a junior...cleared 5.05 meters during the indoor season as the runner-up at the Albany Great Dane Classic...vaulted 5.07 meters at the MAC Outdoor Championships to place fourth.

2012-13: Recorded his season-best pole vault height of 15-9.0 (4.80m) at the Penn State Jim Thorpe Open...his top indoor pole vault mark was set at the Eastern Michigan Triangular with a height of 15-4.50 (4.69m).

2011-12: Did not compete during the indoor or outdoor track & field seasons.

2010-11: Set UB’s outdoor pole vault record of 16-0.75 at the Jim Thorpe Invitational. Posted team’s top indoor pole vault height of 15-7 at the Akron Invitational. Placed eighth in the outdoor pole vault (15-5) and indoors (14-9) at the MAC Championships. 

High School: Earned six letters at South Glen Falls High School for coaches Tom Hansen, Paul Stoutenger and Don Parretta. Won conference titles in the 100m and pole vault. Finished second in the pole vault (16-0) at the 2010 state outdoor championships which he lists as his greatest athletic experience.

Personal: Born November 17, 1991. Son of Lawrence Hume and Laurie Orsini. Has two brothers (Jaimen, Jacob) and one sister (Katrina). Enjoys mountain biking and snowboarding. Favorite athlete is stunt cyclist Danny MacAskill. Majoring in fine arts and would like a career in art education.
