EUGENE, OR – University at Buffalo track and field junior Jonathan Jones finished in 11th place at the NCAA track and Field Championships held at historic Hayward Field on Wednesday night. Jones' effort earned him second team All-American honors.

Jones earned his second straight All-American honors in the outdoor shot put, and his fourth straight overall, as he came in 11th place in the 24 person field on Wednesday. The Portville, NY native recorded a long throw that traveled 63'02.25" (19.26m). During his record setting 2014 season, the junior produced not only the school record in the event but also the Mid-American Conference record with a throw of 66'04.50" (20.22m) at the MAC Championships.

Appearing in his first ever NCAA Championship, sophomore Mike Morgan did not have the final result that he would have liked in the decathlon. In the first event of the competition, 100m dash, Morgan recorded a 17th place finish in 11.13 seconds. Following his run, Morgan was unable to continue the event as he was forced to pull out with a foot injury. He closed out his sophomore season with a MAC Championship and school record in the decathlon.

Sophomore Ryan Billian will be the final Bull to compete in the NCAA Championships on Thursday at 7:30 pm in the long jump. Billian recorded a school record leap at the MAC Championships and currently ranks 11th in the NCAA in the event.
