On the men's side, Brian Smith was one of just eight named to the squad. Smith won the 200 meters at the conference championships, while also advancing to the NCAA East Preliminary Round, where he finished 28th with a time of 21.54. She was the Mid-American Conference Champion in both, finishing the national meet 17th in the shot put and 18th in the discus. She holds school records in both events, which were set this year.
White, is a nursing major with a 3.745 GPA. She finished the season as the MAC Champion in the hammer throw and just missed reaching nationals as she finished 13th place at the NCAA East Preliminary Round. White holds the school record in the hammer throw at 206-4.00 (62.90m).
