GENEVA, OH – The University at Buffalo, The State University of New York men's swimming and diving team finished third at the Mid-American Conference Men's Swimming and Diving that concluded at the Spire Institute in Geneva, OH on Saturday night.
The highlight of the evening was Scott Huang shattering his own school record to finish second in the 200 breaststroke. Huang finished the race in a time of 1:55.64. His previous school record was 1:58.92, set last season. Garrett Clarke finished seventh with a time of 1:59.32. It was also Clarke's best time of the season.
Matt Bitara posted a sixth-place finish in the 200 butterfly with a season-best time of 1:49.94.
Antonio Lanzi and Oliver Patrouch finished seventh and eighth, respectively, in the 100 freestyle. Both swimmers recorded their best times of the season as Lanzi finished in 44.65 and Patrouch posted a 44.77.
Reid Zyniecki finished 10th in the 1,650 freestyle with a time of 15:49.66.
In the diving well, Cade Bennett posted a score of 330.35 to finish fifth on the three-meter board.
The final event of the meet was the 400 freestyle relay in which the Bulls finished fifth.
Huang, Patrouch and Lanzi were all named to the All-MAC Second Team. It is the second straight season Huang has earned the honor.
Eastern Michigan edged out Missouri State by a mere two points to win the 2015 MAC title.
