2013-14: Named All-MAC First Team after winning the conference title in both the 500 freestyle and 1,000 freestyle. Was also a member of the MAC Champion 800 freestyle relay.  Set the school record in the 500 freestyle (4:46.37), the 1,000 freestyle (9:54.07) and the 1,650 freestyle (16:21.10). Also helped the set the school record in the 800 freestyle relay (7:17.35). Made the NCAA ‘B’ cut in the 500 freestyle and 1,650 freestyle.

2012-13: Named UB Swimming Rookie of the Year. Earned All-MAC First Team honors at the league championships as she finished second in the 200-yard freestyle in a lifetime-best mark of 1:48.27. She also set the school record in the 1,650-yard freestyle in 16:24.96 to place third overall and also set the school record for the 1,000-yard distance (9:57.37) in the race. She also placed third in the 500-yard freestyle final in a season-best 4:47.97 and swam the opening leg of UB's victorious 800-yard freestyle relay. 

2011-12: Did not compete.

High School: Raced for coach Josh Yavor at Kalamazoo Central High School. Won the 200 and 500 freestyle titles at the 2010 Michigan Division 2 State Championships. Set the state record in the 500 freestyle.

Personal: Born December 30, 1992. Daughter of Bob and Kathleen Powers. Has two brothers (Matt, Mitch) and one sister (Brie). Favorite movie is Bridesmaids. Chose UB over Ohio State and San Diego State. Majoring in exercise science and would like to become a registered dietician.
