Due to unplayable field conditions at Nan Harvey Field, the University at Buffalo softball team's three-game series against Eastern Michigan this weekend, Friday-Saturday, March 23-24, has a change of location. The Bulls will now face off with the Eagles on Dobson Field, which is located on the campus of D'Youville College.
CLEARWATER, FL – The University at Buffalo softball team (8-13, 0-0 MAC) did not have the luck of the Irish today in day two of the Clearwater Spring Break Classic hosted by USF. Army took the opener 3-1 and the Quinnipiac Bobcats shut out the Bulls 11-0 in five innings.

The Bulls opened the day with a 5-2 loss against Northern Kentucky before Seton Hall snuck by the Bulls, 2-0.

Buffalo earned the 4-0 shutout victory over Incarnate Word and then posted a 3-1 come-from-behind victory over Alabama State in the nightcap.

The Bulls were able to end their weekend on a high note as they earned the come-from-behind 9-6 victory over Youngstown State behind a three-run sixth inning.

The Buffalo offense was able to produce 13 hits and six extra base hits in the victory on Friday.
LAS VEGAS, NV – The University at Buffalo softball team (1-7, 0-0 MAC) fell in the final day of the Marucci Desert Classic hosted by UNLV to Long Beach State on Sunday afternoon by the score of 23-1 in five innings. With the loss, the Bulls fall to 1-7 on the season while Long Beach State improves to 8-1 overall.

The Bulls fell 7-3 to Boise State in the opening game of the day before losing to Utah State in their second game, 15-10.

Buffalo was defeated by the host Runnin’ Rebels on Friday, 6-5, in eight innings.
MACON, GA – The University at Buffalo softball team (1-3, 0-0 MAC) collected their first win under head coach Mike Roberts on Saturday morning in their opening game of the day against Appalachian State at the Mercer Invitational. UB earned the 5-2 victory over the Mountaineers before falling to Mercer in the second game of the day, 10-3.
MACON, GA – The University at Buffalo softball team opened up their 2018 with a pair of defeats at the Mercer Invitational on Friday afternoon. UB fell by the score of 9-3 in the opening game of the season against Morehead State before dropping a 10-6 contest to the host Mercer Bears in the final game of the afternoon.
BUFFALO, NY – First year head coach Mike Roberts will make his head coaching debut this weekend as the Bulls open up their 2018 campaign at the Mercer Invitational hosted by Mercer University. UB will take part in five games this weekend down in Macon, GA at Sikes Field.
In recognition of a leadership gift made by the Murchie family to the recently announced fieldhouse, the UB Council endorsed a resolution, on Monday, to name the new fieldhouse at the University at Buffalo, the Murchie Family Fieldhouse in honor of former UB hockey player Tunney Murchie and his family. The naming is subject to the approval of the SUNY Chancellor and the SUNY Board of Trustees.
The longtime dream of an on-campus fieldhouse at the University at Buffalo will soon be a reality. University at Buffalo Director of Athletics Allen Greene announced on Friday that the university has secured the services of Rochester-based LeChase Construction as the general contractor and New York-based architecture firm CHA for the project.
BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo Director of Athletics Allen Greene announced Thursday morning that Mike Roberts has been named the new head coach of the UB softball program. Roberts becomes just the fourth head coach of the softball program in the Bulls division I history. He comes to Buffalo after two very successful campaigns as the pitching coach at the University of Washington.
BUFFALO, NY – Former UB softball great Tori Speckman was named pitching coach at her alma mater on Tuesday afternoon, as announced by fifth-year head coach Trena Prater. Speckman returns to Buffalo where she holds a plethora of all-time pitching records in the blue and white.
The NCAA released annual Division I Academic Progress Rate (APR) data on Thursday afternoon and nine UB programs had perfect single-year rates for 2015-16, while men’s tennis continues to lead the charge with a perfect four-year rate.
A trio of University at Buffalo softball players were honored on Tuesday afternoon as the Mid-American Conference announced its postseason awards. Sophomore Ally Power was named to the All-MAC Second Team, while Jenelle Martinez and Jessica Goldyn each earned All-Freshman Team honors.
The University at Buffalo softball team and the Ohio Bobcats met on the diamond for nearly six hours on Saturday, fighting cold temperature and rain, to play a pair of games, but the Bobcats won both ends of the doubleheader, 9-3 and 11-9.
