  • UB Athletics Records All-Time High 3.096 GPA

    The University at Buffalo student-athletes set a new standard in academics during the 2016 spring semester with a program-best GPA of 3.096. This marked the ninth straight semester UB student-athletes have surpassed the 3.0 combined mark.
  • Savanna Norcio Named NFCA Second-Team All-Region

    Junior Savanna Norcio has been named to the NFCA Mideast All-Region Second Team, the association announced on Thursday afternoon. Norcio was placed in the DP or Utility/Non-Pitcher Spot as she spent time this season at numerous position.

  • Norcio And Weimer Pick Up All-MAC Honors

    University at Buffalo softball junior Savanna Norcio and freshman Katie Weimer were honored by the Mid-American Conference on Tuesday when the league announced its postseason awards. Norcio was named to the All-MAC First Team, while Weimer was named to the league’s All-Freshman squad.

    Freshman Katie Weimer became UB’s single-season RBI leader on Wednesday afternoon, breaking a 15-year old school record with a three-run home run. However, the Bulls fell in both ends of a doubleheader to Binghamton.

    The host Kent State Golden Flashes scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to defeat the University at Buffalo softball team 3-2 in the weekend opener of the three game series. The loss drops UB to 8-7 in MAC play.

    The University at Buffalo softball team scored another 19 runs on Saturday, bringing their weekend total to 28 in a three-game sweep of the Bowling Green Falcons. The Bulls took the doubleheader on Saturday by scores of 9-3 and 10-5, respectively.

    Playing inside the friendly confines of Nan Harvey Field for just the second time this season, the University at Buffalo softball team put forth one of its most complete efforts of the season, defeating Bowling Green 9-0 in five innings. The win evened UB’s record to 6-6 in MAC play.

    The University at Buffalo softball team was swept at Akron on Wednesday afternoon as the Bulls had a hard time solving Akron hurler Erin Seiler. The Zips won the first game of the double-dip 7-1 and the second game 5-0.

    The University at Buffalo softball team completed a MAC-opening weekend sweep of the Toledo Rockets on Sunday afternoon with a 6-3 win at Scott Park. The Bulls have now won five in a row and are 3-0 in conference play for the first time in school history.
  • Late Heroics Lead Bulls To Doubleheader Sweep Of Toledo

    The University at Buffalo softball team swept Toledo on Saturday in the Mid-American Conference opener for both teams. Despite the Bulls being the home team, the games were played at Toledo. UB won the first game 1-0 in walk-off fashion, while they came back with a 2-1 victory in game two. UB has now won four straight games and the Bulls have won their first two conference games for the first time since joining the MAC.
