    Third-year head coach Trena Peel has announced the hiring of longtime Canadian National Team member Kaleigh Rafter as assistant coach. Rafter has been a member of the Canadian National Team since 2007.

    Incoming freshman Courtney Gilbert has been named to the Canadian Junior National Team following the Final Selection Camp, which wrapped up on Tuesday.
  • Kowaliuk And Gilbert Announced to Canadian Junior National Team Selection Camp

    After holding three regional identification camps in Cloverdale, British Columbia (May 22-24), Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (May 29-31) and Brampton, Ontario (June 12-14), the Junior Women's National Team coaching staff has extended invitations to 28 athletes to compete for a spot on the 2015 Canadian team and amongst that list of 28 is Makayla Kowaliuk, who just finished her first season with the UB softball team and incoming freshman Courtney Gilbert. The final Selection Camp will take place from June 27-30 in Cloverdale, British Columbia.
  • Three Bulls Named To Academic All-MAC Softball Team

    The Mid-American Conference announced its 2015 Softball Academic All-MAC team Tuesday. A total of 79 student-athletes were named to the team including three members of the UB Softball Team, Hayley Barrow, Alexis Curtiss, and Kenzie Koch.
  • Alexis Curtiss Named NFCA First-Team All-Region

    Senior Alexis Curtiss became just the second player in school history named the NFCA Mideast All-Region First Team on Thursday morning, the association announced. Curtiss was selected in the utility spot as she played multiple positions for the Bulls this season.

    Senior Alexis Curtiss has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District I Softball Team, it was announced on Thursday afternoon. The teams were selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

    Playing a Mid-American Conference series for the first time at home on Friday afternoon, the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, softball team split its doubleheader with Northern Illinois. The Bulls walked off with a victory, 5-4, in eight innings in the second game after falling 7-0 in the opener.

    The University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, softball team split its final road games of the 2015 season on Sunday afternoon as the Bulls lost 1-0 in the doubleheader opener at Bowling Green before coming back to win the second game, 3-1. The two games today snapped a stretch where UB played 44 of its first 46 games away from home.

    The University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, softball team snapped a 13-game losing streak as the Bulls split their home-opening doubleheader against Canisius on Wednesday at Nan Harvey Field. The Bulls dropped the opener 10-3, but came back to defeat the Griffs, 4-1 in the nightcap.

    The University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, softball team was shut out at Akron on Sunday afternoon, 9-0. The game lasted just five innings. UB was scheduled to play these games at home, but had to move to Akron due to unplayable field conditions.

    The University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, softball team got a solid performance in the circle from freshman Charlotte Miller, but Akron scored a single run in the seventh to defeat the Bulls, 1-0. Despite playing at Akron, the Bulls were the home team in the game as the series was moved away from Nan Harvey Field due to unplayable field conditions.

    The University at Buffalo, State University of New York softball team's weekend series against Ball State has been moved to Miami (OH) and will be played as a doubleheader on Saturday evening at 5pm due to New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo issuing Executive Order #144 prohibiting state-funded or state-sponsored travel to the state of Indiana.
  • UB Softball Joins With Team IMPACT To Sign Maddie Nadrich To NLI

    Second-year head softball coach Trena Peel announced the signing of 12-year old Maddie Nadrich to a National Letter of Intent on Tuesday evening, making Nadrich the youngest member of the UB softball team. Nadrich was paired up with the softball program through a program called Team IMPACT.
