COLUMBUS, OH – University at Buffalo running back Jaret Patterson was honored by the Touchdown Club of Columbus on Saturday night as one of the Mid-American Conference players to watch in 2019. The sophomore running back was one of eight players from the MAC named to the annual list.
Patterson posted eye-popping numbers in his first season with the Bulls. The Maryland-native rushed for 1,013 yards and 14 touchdowns on the year – the most ever by a freshman in school history. His 14 rushing touchdowns were two shy of the school record. Patterson, a second-team All-MAC selection, was named the MAC Freshman of the Year – just the second player in program history to receive the honor.
Patterson was introduced during the 64th Touchdown Club of Columbus Awards on Saturday night at Express Live! In downtown Columbus, OH.
The list also included quarterbacks Woody Barrett (Kent State), Jarret Doege (Bowling Green) and Kato Nelson (Akron), running backs LeVante Bellamy (Western Michigan) and Bryant Koback (Toledo), wide receiver Jayden Reed (Western Michigan) and defensive end Mike Danna (Central Michigan).
