    The University at Buffalo has unveiled a refurbished Brinkworth/McNally Football Alumni Team Meeting Room, thanks to Shareholders Society members and their gifts toward athletic facility enhancements. UB worked with VSP Graphic Group to give the team meeting room in UB Stadium its first update since 2011.

    Former University at Buffalo linebacker Gerry Quinlivan has been nominated for the College Football Hall of Fame, the National Football Foundation has announced. Quinlivan is one of 67 players from the divisional ranks to appear on the ballot.
  • O’Hagan Named to Rimington Trophy Spring Watch List

    University at Buffalo center James O’Hagan was named to the Rimington Trophy Spring Watch List, the Rimington Trophy Committee announced on Monday. The award is giving annually to the nation's top center. This is the second straight year UB's junior center has been named to the watch list.
  • Five Bulls Named to Athlon Preseason All-MAC Team

    Five members of the University at Buffalo football team have been named to the Athlon Sports 2017 Preseason All-MAC team, the publication announced on Monday. James O’Hagan and Khalil Hodge were named to the second team, while Brandon Manosalvas, Chris Ford and Jarrett Franklin were named to the fourth team.

    Season tickets for the 2017 University at Buffalo football season are on sale now and start as low as $66. This year's home schedule includes six games, including Florida Atlantic, coached by Lane Kiffin, and defending Mid-American Conference champions and Cotton Bowl participant Western Michigan.
  • Joseph Signs Free Agent Contract with the Baltimore Ravens

    After a successful rookie minicamp in early May, former University at Buffalo offensive lineman Roubbens Joseph has signed a free agent contract with the Baltimore Ravens, the team announced on Monday. Joseph is the third Bull from the class of 2016 to sign with an NFL team this offseason, joining Mason Schreck who was drafted b y the Cincinnati Bengals and Jordan Johnson who was an undrafted free agent signee of the Buffalo Bills.
  • Buffalo Announces Football Series with Liberty

    The University at Buffalo football team has scheduled a home-and-home series with Liberty University, the teams announced on Saturday. Buffalo will travel to Liberty in 2019 with the Bulls host the Flames in 2023.

    Former University at Buffalo offensive lineman John Kling has signed a free agent contract with the Washington Redskins, the team announced on Thursday. Kling originally signed as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago Bears following his career at UB, but was later waived.

    University at Buffalo senior Corbin Grassman has been named to the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society – comprised of college football players who maintained a cumulative 3.2 or better grade point average throughout their college career. It is the sixth straight year a UB player has made the list.

  • Mack Named NFL Defensive Player of the Year

    Former University at Buffalo linebacker Khalil Mack was named the 2016 National Football League Defensive Player of the Year on Saturday night. Mack, a defensive end for the Oakland Raiders, received the award at the NFL Honors in Houston on the eve of Super Bowl LI.

    University at Buffalo linebacker Khalil Hodge was named one of 12 Mid-American Conference players to watch in 2017 by the Touchdown Club of Columbus. The junior linebacker was introduced at the 62nd Touchdown Club of Columbus Awards on Saturday in Ohio’s capital.
  • Football Announces 2017 Signing Class

    University at Buffalo football head coach Lance Leipold announced the initial signees for the 2017 recruiting class on the first day of the National Signing Period on Wednesday. Speed and athleticism was a theme for this year’s class as a number of signees were also standout track athletes in high school. The 21-member class has 12 defensive players, eight offensive players and one long snapper.

    The Mid-American Conference has announced the University at Buffalo’s football conference opponents for the 2017 season, completing the Bulls’ 12-game slate. Bowling Green, Northern Illinois, Ohio and Western Michigan will visit UB Stadium. Buffalo will travel to Akron, Ball State, Kent State and Miami (OH). Dates for conference games will be announced in March.

  • Bulls Mourn Loss of a Legend

    UB alumnus Willie Evans, a standout running back for the UB football team and former president of the UB Alumni Association, has passed away at the age of 79. Evans was the Bulls’ leading rusher every season from 1957 to 1959 and was a key member of UB’s 1958 Lambert Cup winning team.
