  • UB Football Sets Highest Team Grade Point Average in its Division I History

    The University at Buffalo football team carried an impressive season on the field into the classroom, setting another program-best grade point average for the Spring semester. Over the past seven semesters under head coach Jeff Quinn, the team has seen a rise in academic success, with the team average going from 2.2 in the Fall of 2010, to the current semester’s 2.861 mark.
  • Bulls Announce Upcoming Football Series with Nevada and Florida Atlantic

    University at Buffalo Director of Athletics Danny White announced on Thursday that the Bulls have signed a contract for a home-and-home series with both Nevada and Florida Atlantic beginning in the 2015 season. The Bulls will host Nevada on Sept. 26, 2015 and travel to Reno on Sept. 17, 2016. UB will play at Florida Atlantic on Sept. 19, 2015. The Owls will return the game on Sept. 23, 2017.
  • Seven Bulls Named to Phil Steele’s Preseason All-MAC Team

    Seven University at Buffalo football players were named to Phil Steele’s 2014 Preseason All-Mid-American Conference Team. The Bulls had two players named to the first team, after having a school-record five last season.
  • For First Time Graduating Seniors Invited To Summer Camps

    For the first time this year, graduating seniors will be allowed to attend football summer camps at the University at Buffalo.
  • Record Seven Bulls From 2013 Senior Class Headed to NFL Mini Camps

    Not only was it an historic day for Khalil Mack and the University at Buffalo football program at the NFL Draft last Thursday as the All-American linebacker was picked fifth overall by the Oakland Raiders, but a half dozen other former UB football players also got exciting phone calls over the weekend. Six former Bulls either signed undrafted free agent contracts or earned NFL tryouts.
  • Neutz and Oliver Sign with NFL Teams

    Former University at Buffalo football standouts Alex Neutz and Branden Oliver signed as undrafted free agents with NFL teams on Saturday. Neutz signed with the Cincinnati Bengals, while Oliver was picked up by the Indianapolis Colts.
  • Khalil Mack Selected Fifth by the Oakland Raiders in the 2014 NFL Draft

    It was an historic evening for the University at Buffalo football program as Khalil Mack was selected fifth overall by the Oakland Raiders in the 2014 NFL Draft held at Radio City Music Hall on Thursday. Mack became the highest drafted player in school history as well as the second highest drafted player in the history of the Mid-American Conference.

  • Murchie Pledges Record $3 Million Gift to UB Athletics

    In a surprise announcement at Saturday morning’s Champions Breakfast, former University at Buffalo hockey player and staunch supporter of the Bulls Tunney Murchie pledged a $3 million gift to UB Athletics. It is the largest single gift in athletic department history.

    Jordan Johnson rushed for 114 yards and two touchdown to help lead the Blue team to a 20-8 victory over the White squad at the annual Spring Game played at UB Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

    Former University at Buffalo linebacker Gerry Quinlivan has been nominated for the College Football Hall of Fame, the National Football Foundation has announced. Quinlivan is one of 87 players from the divisional ranks to appear on the ballot.

Licata was one of five MAC players honored at the 59th Touchdown Club of Columbus Awards at the Lifestyle Communities Pavilion in downtown Columbus.

  • UB Led the MAC in Football Attendance in 2013

    For the first time since joining the Mid-American Conference in 1999, the University at Buffalo led the league in football attendance in 2013. The Bulls had an average paid attendance of 22,736 fans per game this past season, over 2,000 more than any other school in the MAC.
