November 20, 2017

Sophomore Summer Hemphill had her best game of the season on Monday night as she helped guide the UB women's basketball team to the dominant 76-41 victory over Maryland Eastern Shore. Hemphill led all scorers in the game with 12 points as she was able to go a perfect 5-for-5 from the floor. The sophomore also grabbed two rebounds and blocked a career-high four shots in just 11 minutes of work. Behind Hemphill's strong game, the Bulls improved to 2-0 for the third straight season.

Wide receiver Anthony Johnson had seven catches for 153 yards and four touchdowns in Buffalo’s first-ever win at Ball State on Thursday night. The junior wide receiver scored the Bulls’ first three touchdowns and four of their five in the game. He had touchdown receptions of 21, 14, 11 and 56 yards. Johnson tied the school record and was one TD reception shy of the Mid-American Conference record for touchdown receptions in a single game. It was his fifth game of the season with at least 140 receiving yards.
