Junior Cierra Dillard made a strong first impression on her new squad on Friday afternoon in the Bulls season opening 87-73 victory over Delaware. The UMass transfer finished off her strong game with a game-high 17 points, six assists and six steals across 29 minutes of action. Dillard went 6-for-12 from the floor and 4-for-7 from behind the arc while also leading UB’s defensive effort with six steals as the Bulls held the Blue Hens to just 36.7% shooting. The Rochester native now has notched 800 career points.

Tyree Jackson went 23-of-37  for a career-high 406 yards and three touchdowns in Buffalo’s 38-28 win over Bowling Green on Tuesday. He had touchdown passes of 21, 69 and 37 yards. His 406 passing yards were the ninth most in school history for a single game and the fourth highest total in the Bulls’ FBS era (since 1999).
