Senior Moira Petrie couldn’t have asked for a better ending to her Senior Day at UB Stadium on Sunday afternoon as she was able to connect on her first game-winner of the season, an overtime winner to give the Bulls the 1-0 win over Miami (OH). Petrie took a perfect pass from Kara Daly and buried a perfectly place shot into the upper left corner to give Buffalo the dramatic 1-0 victory. The Narberth, PA native was dangerous all afternoon on Sunday as she notched a season-high four shots in the win over the RedHawks. With the win, Buffalo currently sits in fifth place in the MAC and has a chance to host a MAC quarterfinal match at UB Stadium on Sunday if they beat Akron and Toledo losses or ties Bowling Green.

Junior Ethan Nittolo competed in singles and doubles at the ITA Northeast Regionals hosted by Yale this past weekend.  In singles, Nittolo scored an opening round victory over Anthony Arocho of Brown, 6-1, 6-2, before losing a tough three-set match to Kyle Mautner of Penn, who was ranked in the top eight in the field.  In doubles, he teamed up with sophomore Hao Sheng Koay where they won a pair of matches and advanced to the Round of 16.  They opened the tournament with an easy 8-1 victory and then in the second round they defeated the #5 seed from Cornell, 8-4.  The team, ultimately fell to a pair from Dartmouth, who made it all the way to the semifinals.
